Parent Education

Suzuki

While you are the expert on your child, you may be unfamiliar with the Suzuki method, the violin or viola, note reading, practicing, and even music lessons. You will be introduced to many important aspects of Suzuki lessons during lessons, group classes, and parent events. Unfortunately we will not be able to cover everything during those sessions. I recommend that you read and listen to the following resources to help you become the best Suzuki parent possible. If you have limited time, please consider listening to the podcasts listed below and read the introduction pages in your Suzuki book. I recommend starting with Nurtured by Love, Ability Development from Age Zero, and Beyond the Music Lesson (book and podcast). Many of these resources are available for you to check out in the studio library.
